ReplyDeleteI was a cheerleader too! and you would love the fabric markets in Bejing (china) oh Lordy Lordy girl - rows and rows upon stores of gorgeous fabrics and ribbons and anything you could think of - FOR PENNIES!!!!!!!!!!!! I brought back an entire LARGE box of silk fabrics - and I only spent $100!
Thanks for the award. I love how the first "honest" thing you say is that you were a Cheerleader. I feel like I have to keep it some big secret. ;) As for a new sewing machine, it will cost you, but it will last for the rest of your life: Bernina. It really is the best. Common Thread in Lake Oswego is a Bernina dealer and I would recommend going down there and testing them out. They are on sale now to make room for the new models. If you find one you like, contact Quiltique in Las Vegas to check prices, they are having a HUGE sale on their Bernina's right now and will ship for you.
ReplyDelete#5 is very cool. My friend and I were going to take that together in college but our schedules never ended up clicking. Now I communicate with this wonderfully interesting man at the coffee shop mostly by our own brand of sign language and a big pad o' paper.
ReplyDeleteI wish #5 were true of me. I've always wanted to learn!
