Sophia had her first big girl bath today. (Thank you Christina for the motivation) She has spent months in her little kiddie tub splashing water all oever the couter, and me for months now. So today WE DID IT!!! I put down some towels (all over the bathroom) so she would not slip. Then popped her in the tub. Needless to say it took her a minute to realize what was going on. But she started playing like crazy. I tried to get a picture whithout the (whoo haa) Didn't happen so I had to photoshop a little for when she is a teenager ahe would hate me for life. I also got some cute video but I need to edit some of it so it may be ahile before I get the time to do that.
No more tears but big mohawks.....
Poor girl has a rash from sucking on everything she somes across. She does this weird hissing sound with her teeth that makes her drool a lot. We just put a little stuff on it and it usually clears up pretty quick. This might sound nasty but I use the lanolin stuff I got for breatfeeding. (it works) I figured it was safe if it got in her mouth so what could it hurt. Well it has worked so we continue to use it.
After she got dressed she was happy to play with her toys again before her nap. She had a new acomplishment today as well. Today was her first day getting herself on her own to feet. She can now hold onto the top of the crib and sing with mommie........ no more monkeys jumping on the bed~
She amazes me everyday. I am so lucky.
Brice was doing this like crazy today. It's so exciting to have him standing on his own. I never though to try the lanolin, i'll give it a try. Brices cheaks and chin are so red from all the drool! There is another product that works really well, but I forget the name...and I have this already anyways. I guess i'm a bad mom, I didn't edit our bath photos. I figure he's a baby. :)
